A custom workflow is typically in the ballpark of 15-20 nodes that vary from custom API calls, to webhook events, and everything in between. This range can vary by the scope of the project. The quality of a custom workflow and the applications and functions it interfaces with is arguably more important than the quantity of nodes or even functions performed in many instances. In other words, quality over quantity is usually the winner in this category.

You own the infrastructure. We can host it for you for a fee, or deploy it to your own cloud (AWS, Hetzner, etc.). The beauty of n8n is that it's self-hosted—no vendor lock-in, no monthly SaaS fees eating into your margins.

For retainer clients, we fix it immediately. For one-off builds, we offer a warranty period where fixes are covered. But here's the thing: we only automate functions that are deterministic enough to actually automate well. That's the art of efficiency—knowing what to automate and what requires human context.

We work on a milestone basis. If we don't deliver the agreed scope, you don't pay the final invoice. But honestly? We've never had to have that conversation. When you're building bespoke solutions, not plug-and-chug software wrappers, quality speaks for itself.
